Infofest Day 2

The second day for our team started at 8 in the morning. We decided this the previous evening as we had to reach here and work on our Three - Marketeers' materials designing the product.

We were escorted to the old computer lab on request by the organizers. There me and my team started working parallely through brain storming.

After a while of rigorous stress on our brains we came up with an idea. The idea was about a lounge chair that was combined with a mixer, that could serve as a juicer. This product was of innovative type as it isn't available in the market.

We named the product, the "MixSit", a product that was a combo of a lounge and a mixer that could give a glass of delicious and nutritious fruit juice at the touch of a button, while its user could enjoy his favorite movie or an episode.

The features we decided for it were, its detachable juicer, rechargeable battery and portable. We designed two models of it, the SuperA and the SuperZ. The SuperA model was particularly for making juice, cocktails and mocktails. The SuperZ had added components like a variety of blades for use in kitchen as well. Also this model had wheels attached to it for easy locomotion.

The ad we designed was the funniest of all. We decided, for the ad my friend Reuben D'Mello would play the role of the advertiser speaking to the audience, while my friend Rahul Rudra Devan, would play the role of a typical Boss in an office with a "Bossy gesture" and me playing the role of a humble and hard working employee, who follows all the commands of his Boss(Rahul).

In the ad Reuben would interact with the audience telling them how difficult and tiring a typical day is at the office and me and Rahul would play a small scenario of that wherein he commands me over and over again to get some reports and me running from one place to another to get the same. Rahul would then throw one of my reports angrily and I would collect the pages and return home. At home I fall tiredly on the chair and wish to have a drink, but too tired to go inside leaving the TV in front of me.

At this time Reuben announces the product we designed while the slide splashes onto the screen and Rahul gets for me the board drawn by Venkat and Hanish to me as an answer to my wish. And then I start dancing the beach dance in my formal dress. This was the funniest part of it, where all the audience and the judges brst into laughter. Then Rahul, me and Reuben explained the product. Thanks to the judges, the organizers and of course the Almighty that we won the first place later after the competition.

We finished all with the product work by 9 and turned out at the event site for a stomachful of breakfast. The organizers had arranged for us bread and the "Bhaji", along with tea. We rushed with the breakfast. At 9.30 am myself, Reuben and Rahul went to present the ad, and then continue with the competition in which we were presented with two ads, the fevicol and an ad about eye donation.

Later then Reuben and Hanish participated for the Architect to draw the OOP styled class diagrams. While they went there, Venkat and Rahul assisted me to review the code we got the previous night, and also to prepare a presentation on the same. It was almost 2 by then. So my friends went for lunch while I stayed there still working on the same and of course had to sacrifice the lunch. This sacrifice was not in vain after all, thats because we secured the second place.

After the lunch soon then my friends Rahul and Reuben participated in the Tete-e-Tete at 2. Later at 2:30 myself and Reuben continued with the Deep C final round presentation. The presentation we developed was of professional type, containing info about Software Engineering.

Later after the Deep C, me and Venkat attended the lecture related to OOP concepts by Sahani, as we wanted to see him, because he is one of the authors whose book we had to read in the third semester of our college universities.

Later the organizers served tea, that I drank 4 cups, as I was hungry since afternoon. Later I reached home and narrated the day to my parents, and the later to my class friends over the internet.
